A $50,000 Kubota tractor was stolen from a construction site on South Church Street. The mini excavator was possibly taken on Sunday and later reported as stolen on Monday.

According to an M-P-D incident report the thieves behind the theft may not be so lucky. The entire theft may have been captured on video. Reports indicate the Waffle House and Tigermart gas station near the location of the theft have security cameras around their property. One of several cameras may have captured the theft on video.

The case is being investigated at this time. An arrest has yet to be made.
