Anne C. Davis selected as the third President of the Christy-Houston Foundation

Anne C. Davis has been selected as the third President of the Christy-Houston Foundation based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She will assume her new duties on May 15, 2017.

Davis brings 30 years of business and non-profit management experience to her new role. She will manage day-to-day operations as well as represent the Foundation in the community and with the many organizations the Foundation supports. Her most recent experience includes serving as the Director of the Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation where she cultivated support for the hospital through major gifts, planned giving and special events. Prior to that, Anne was the Assistant Community Development Director for the City of Murfreesboro. She is the Founding President of the Junior League of Murfreesboro, a past President of Rutherford CABLE and currently serves the Charity Circle of Murfreesboro as Vice President. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and holds certificates in Major Gifts, Planned Giving and Management from The AHP Madison Institute at the University of Wisconsin. She and her husband Jeff have been residents of Murfreesboro for 34 years and have two adult children.

Foundation Chairman Bill Jones commented that "Anne and the leadership she provides will be an outstanding addition to the Christy-Houston Foundation and will play a vital role in our work to enhance the lives of the citizens of Rutherford County. Her experience in non-profit management as well as prior experience with many of the organizations the Foundation supports will provide a smooth transition from Bob Mifflin's tenure as President and allow the Foundation to continue looking for ways to serve Rutherford County."

The Christy-Houston Foundation is a private foundation formed in 1986 from the proceeds of the sale of Middle Tennessee Medical Center to Baptist and Saint Thomas Hospitals. The Foundation has provided grants totaling over $105,000,000 since its formation. The Christy-Houston Foundation's mission is "to enhance the quality of life in Rutherford County, Tennessee, with emphasis on health care, through distribution of its grant resources to programs and projects that will accomplish such enhancement."
