An armed robbery was reported in Smyrna at around 12:30 Thursday afternoon. The subject held up Kay's Jewelry on Industrial Blvd and then fled on foot.

The suspect was armed with a black revolver and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to Smyrna Police.

Officers are still investigating the case in hopes of identifying the subject who was captured on an in-store surveillance camera Thursday.

The suspect is described as a light skinned, black male, approximately 6 foot tall, light goatee, thin build with gold teeth and may be in his late 20's or early 30's. He is wearing glasses, a baseball style hat with unknown lettering on it, white Nike Jordan tennis shoes and a white sweat shirt with the words "LIFTED" written on it and the image of a rhino.
