Local nonprofit Special Kids is proud to announce Nissan North America as its presenting sponsor for the 15th Annual Special Kids Golf Classic on Thursday, May 8, at Indian Hills Golf Course in Murfreesboro.

“Nissan makes contributions to many educational programs in our community, including the important instruction that is provided at Special Kids,” says Nissan Vice President Randy Knight. “Many of our employees engage with Special Kids throughout the year, and we believe in the value of its mission. Helping children to reach their full potential is something we are all proud to support.”

This May marks the fourth year for Nissan to present the annual fundraiser for Special Kids, a local organization that serves children with special needs. The automotive company sends several team members to play in the tournament each year and shows their support both on and off the green.

“Nissan has been a great partner for Special Kids over the years,” said Chris Truelove, Executive Director of Special Kids. “They have supported through grant funding for our educational program, entries for the Special Kids Race, and employee groups donating necessities for our families. Special Kids is so thankful for Nissan coming along side of us in so many ways to serve God’s precious children and their families.”

The 15 year-old tournament will follow a four-person ‘scramble’ format,  with each team starting at various holes. Players can choose between the morning or afternoon tournament flights. For each flight, registration fees will run $500 per team and $125 per individual player.

Start Time and Registration Information:

The morning flight will begin with registration at 6:30 a.m. followed by a shot-gun start at 7:30 a.m. The afternoon flight will kick off with registration at 11:30 a.m. followed by a shot-gun start at 1 p.m. Lunch is provided to both flights. Players will also receive goodie bags and 18 holes of golf with their registration.

For a $125 hole sponsorship, organizations will see their company name listed on a tee sign at one of the 18 holes. Higher level sponsorships are also available and already include Nissan as the presenting sponsor.
