18-Year Old Smyrna Man Charged: Making False Emergency Calls
July 4, 2008
Smyrna police detectives arrested an 18-year old Fairway Meadows apartment resident and charged him with making numerous false calls to their 911 phone number. Sean Patrick Parker was charged with 7 counts of felony false reports between June 21st and when he was arrested Thursday (7/3/08). The Smyrna man admitted to making false fire calls to apartments, bomb threats as well as allegedly admitting to authorities about another false call made last year. Smyrna police indicate that the calls were made on a cell phone that no longer had service. That unit was run through a computer that allowed Parker to reportedly make any phone number show up on caller ID that he wished. Word is that similar charges are pending with the Murfreesboro Police Department. WGNS News will keep you informed.
