Mothers Against Drunk Driving reports that 7,919 crashes last year (2017) in Tennessee involved alcohol impaired drivers or drivers who used drugs. M.A.D.D. also reported that 348 of those accidents were fatalities.

The M.A.D.D. organization reports that 2 out of 3 people will be impacted by drunk driving during their lifetime.

MORE: Research between the years of 2003 and 2014 shows that 2,631 drivers have been charged with DUI in Rutherford County alone. During that same period across the volunteer state, 55,276 DUI arrests were made.
