The goals of the 12 week program are to educate, exchange ideas, and familiarize citizens with current law enforcement operations. The academy covers topics such as Uniformed Division policies and procedures, traffic enforcement and investigation, criminal investigations, communications, Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) philosophies, as well as other topics as they relate to the operation of the Murfreesboro Police Department.

Chief of Police Glenn Chrisman stated: “We are excited to see the 26th CPA class graduate and we are pleased to see so many citizens take an interest in their community and specifically in the Murfreesboro Police Department.”

An interesting note... WGNS has taken the class and everyone loved it! Bart Walker, Jack London, Scott Walker and Angie Walker have all participated in the program in the past. Feel free to call WGNS to ask for our input on the class if you are considering it.
