3rd Annual Middle Half Marathon October 3rd…Register May 1st

Get ready,registration for the Third Annual Middle Half-Marathon is just a few weeks away. Race Director Melinda Tate told WGNS News that applications will be accepted starting May 1st.

The race is slated for Saturday morning, October 3rd. The wheel chair event begins at 6:55AM and the regular start is at 7:00 o’clock. The Kid’s Fun Run is at 7:10AM.

Tate said, “In just 3 years, The Middle Half has grown to become one of the top half marathons in Tennessee, winning the Tennessee Parks and Recreation’s Four Star Program Award in 2008. With the flat, fast course, it’s no wonder 5 state records were broken in 2008.”

The course has you running up and down tree-lined Main Street, past historic Oaklands Mansion, and circling the historic downtown square. After passing Middle Tennessee State University’s fraternity row and the official geographic center of Tennessee, finish in style on the track inside MTSU’s Dean A. Haye’s Track and Soccer Stadium.
