WGNS' Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins had the call as the Blaze came from eight down in the fourth and used a 14-nothing run to take the lead late. Coach Barry Wortman says he thought Oak Ridge was playing a little tight toward the end, trying to hold the lead...

Down the stretch, the Blaze converted seven out of nine free throws to seal the victory, including six in a row by Blaze senior Andrew Rogan. Wortman says the state championship, the first for a county team since 1965, will stand as an example of basketball here in Rutherford County...

Tournament MVP Jauan Jennings, who had 14 in the game, talks about being only the second triple-A school to win both the girls and boys state championships...

Jennings was joined on the all state tournament team by Lukas Hart, Andrew Rogan and Reid Pierce. Blackman becomes only the second team in Class Triple-A and the fifth in T-Double-S-Double-A history to win both a boys and girls championship in the same year.
