Around 3:00 o'clock Saturday (9/22/2018) morning, Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue rushed to a home at 728 Saratoga Drive. Heavy smoke was showing from the second floor as fire-fighters arrived.

A quick check of the scene proved that everyone in the home had escaped safely.

At that point, firefighters began to attack the blaze. The fire was located in the bathroom. Damage was done to both the bathroom as well as the bedroom.

The fire marshal is conducting a routine investigation, but initial reports indicate a faulty exhaust fan might have been the cause of the early Saturday morning fire.
