5th Death Under or Next to The South Church Street Bridge in Murfreesboro

Another death has occurred on the railroad tracks that go under the South Church Street Bridge near Middle Tennessee Boulevard. This marks the 3rd person to be hit by a train at that location and the 5th death under or next to the bridge.

The most recent case involved the death of a 39-year-old man on Wednesday night (5/30/18) around 10.

Reports indicate Adam Kennedy, who was currently homeless and went by the nickname of AK, was killed instantly when hit by the train.

The location of where the accident occurred is the site of numerous deaths.

In February of 2017, 47 year old Jamie Climer was hit by a train and killed in nearly the same location.

On October 18, 2015, 27 year old Austin Sienk from Utah was hit by a train while walking down the tracks. Sienk was said to be wearing headphones when an approaching train struck him from behind.

Other deaths at the South Church St. Bridge:

In July of 2017, 56 year old Calvin Spalding died at the South Church Street bridge.

In September of 2015, a homeless man by the name of Lamont Lindsey died under the same bridge.

Both Spalding and Lindsey reportedly died of natural causes and were not struck by a train.
