7 Attorneys Being Considered For Circuit Ct. Judgeship

The Tennessee Trial Court Vacancy Commission will meet Friday, September 15th at the Historic Rutherford County Courthouse to interview candidates who wish to be considered for the vacancy created with the death of Judge Keith Siskin.

Seven local attorneys have applied to be considered for the 16th Judicial District's Circuit Court Judge position: Ben E. Bennett of Milton, Michelle Blaylock-Howser of Christiana, along with Aaron J. Conklin, E. Evan Cope, Daryl M. South, Barry R. Tidwell, and Matthew F. Wright--all of Murfreesboro.

The meeting begins at 9:00 o'clock that Friday morning with a public hearing in which anyone can speak in opposition to the candidates.

The commission then interviews the candiates.

After the interviews, the Trial Court Vacancy Commission is to select three candidates that will be presented to Governor Bill Haslam for his consideration.
