The March production of Jesus Christ Superstar at The Center for the Arts has filled almost all of its roles, but still needs a few adult actors for its ensemble and to serve as "high priests."

The show is being staged as a respectful and uplifting version of the famous rock opera, which is drawn from the Gospels' accounts of the week leading to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

Award-winning stage veteran Renee Robinson, who headed The Center's productions of "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Color Purple," will direct the musical, which opens Friday, March 15, and concludes on Easter Sunday, March 31,

Robinson said she hopes to cast the few remaining roles as priests and ensemble members in the next few days. Stage veterans and newcomers will be considered, she said. Contact the production at JCintheBoro@yahoo.com if interested.
