A 19-year-old woman reported to Murfreesboro Police that she was raped by an acquaintance this past Friday night. Evidently, the man is the cousin of her boss.

The two met when he showed up to help the woman with car problems. He later talked her into going out to eat. He instead drove her to the parking lot of two closed businesses where he "Made her perform sexual acts before taking her back to her vehicle," according to a police report.

The Department of Justice reports that 7 out of 10 rapes are committed by someone known to the victim.

The case is under investigation by MPD Detective Tommy Roberts.
