Rutherford County Pet Adoption and Welfare Services (PAWS) will participate in PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend Friday, May 2 through Sunday May 4, 2014 at the PetSmart in Smyrna.  The store location is 807 Industrial Boulevard.  This event, held 4 times a year across the country, boasts of nearly 18,000 adoptions per weekend.

“Rutherford County PAWS is excited to be a part of PetSmart Charities National Adoption Event and we are thankful for their support,” states Michael Gregory, Director.  “This is a great opportunity to promote our great shelter pets and place them in forever homes.  With the use of our mobile adoption unit and the other animal welfare groups that will be participating, a great selection of potential new family members will be available.”

All animals will have age appropriate vaccinations and will be previously spayed or neutered.  Potential adopters will be screened using the shelter’s standard adoption procedure.
