A 54-year old woman reports she was raped by an acquaintance at the Walter Hill Park.

Murfreesboro Police Officer Skyler Harris responded to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in reference to the sexual assault Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

The victim told the officer that she and her daughter went the park with a friend, who she says strangled and forcibly raped her.

The case has been handed over to the MPD's Special Victims Unit.
