A banging on a door turned into a man kicking a door down on South University Street in Murfreesboro late last week.

Evidently, the resident of the home told police that he heard someone at his door begging for help. Banging at the door continued until the subject outside the residence kicked the door in. The resident quickly called police.

When officers arrived they found the man who was banging on the door covered in blood. The man told detectives that he was jumped by a subject in a white truck who goes by the name of Reese. The victim said that three other men were with the "Reese" subject.

After being jumped, the victim was apparently beat so badly that he had bleeding on his brain. The man was admitted to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital and detectives are now investigating the case.

No word on arrests at this point.
