A house fire in Almaville sends two people to the hospital and kills a family dog. NewsChannel 5 reports the fire happened at 1:30 Friday morning on Watauga Way in Almaville. Chief Mark Bricker with the Almaville Fire & Rescue Department reports the deck was fully involved when they arrived on the scene and half of the roof was on fire. There were eight people in the home with two taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. NewsChannel 5 reports the home was a total loss. Along with the Almaville Fire Department, crews from Rutherford County and Walter Hill Fire Departments responded to the scene.
