Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the honored guests at "Breakfast with Santa," a new addition to the Rotary Club of Murfreesboro's Annual Hotcakes and Holly fundraising breakfast on Saturday, December 10th.

"We will be having a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus," said event chair Ann Clark. "Children will get to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be doing a special reading of The Night Before Christmas for all of the kids who attend."

As part of the special "Breakfast with Santa" package, children will also get their photo taken with Santa, receive a copy of The Night Before Christmas (thanks to Ingram Content Group), and participate in a craft activity. All of this is for only $20.00 per child. Seatings will take place at 7:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., and 9:30 a.m.. For more information about the breakfast contact Patience Long at (615) 904-2787.

The Hotcakes & Holly Breakfast will take place at Middle Tennessee Christian School in Murfreesboro from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.. Tickets are only $8.00 for the regular breakfast, which is open to children and adults, but the special Breakfast with Santa package is only open to children.

For those who choose to enjoy the regular breakfast, there will be live entertainment from Johnny B and the Balladeers, Middle Tennessee Christian School choir, and actors from Center for the Arts' Christmas show. And there will be lots of pancakes, sausage, cinnamon roles, and orange juice served up by members of the Rotary Club, and their youth programs, Interact and Rotaract.

"This is the club's biggest fundraiser," said club president Barb Sutton. "It helps us raise funds to help many organizations in our local community. It also gives members of the club a chance to have some fun celebrating the season with old friends and new."

The event benefits programs supported by the Rotary Club of Murfreesboro that focus primarily on community literacy, such as Read to Succeed, Books from Birth, SE-YA Conference for Young Readers, and providing every third grader in Rutherford County with a dictionary of their very own.

Murfreesboro Noon Rotarians are your friends, neighbors, and community leaders uniting for the common good at home and globally.
