Another shooting in the 'Boro, and this one was at the Gateway Apartments near MTSU.

Sergeant Kyle Evans told NewsRadio WGNS, "Around 7:45pm Tuesday (5/16/2017) evening, officers responded to 1841 New Lascassas Pike in reference to a person who had been shot."

Officers were on-the-scene within minutes and discovered one person lying in the parking area suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Evans noted, "That person was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital with life-threatening injuries."

Detectives processed the crime scene and are investigating. Anyone who saw or heard anything is encouraged to phone Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867). No one, not even the police, will know the identification of the person giving the tip. If it leads to an arrest and conviction, you are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
