Another Possible Heroin Overdose in Murfreesboro

Another possible heroin overdose was reported in Murfreesboro.

During this most recent incident, police were called to an address on Second Avenue to assist paramedics. Once on the scene, police observed a 27 year old female who was unresponsive. Next to the female was a small bag that contained two needles, a digital scale, two straws with a white powder residue on them along with small cotton balls. The police report suggested the female had possibly overdosed on heroin.

The female was transported by ambulance to St. Thomas Rutherford where she has since recovered. She was issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and schedule four narcotics.

The two needles recovered by police were disposed of and the bag was turned in as evidence at the Murfreesboro Police Station.
