A 35-year old Antioch man is behind bars in Rutherford County, accused of faking an armed robbery.

Murfreesboro Police report Reggie Lamont Clark called authorities to the 800 block of South Church Street Thursday just before 6pm.

He alleged a black male pulled a silver handgun out and demanded money. Clark told police he gave the man the money and he then fled. Authorities became suspicious when Clark was vague in his description.

Once questioned further, it was discovered Clark was indeed not robbed and made up the story to get a ride back to a halfway house.

Clark is charged with misuse of 9-1-1 and filing a false report with authorities. He was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
