A newly-formed Bell Buckle Arts Council will hold their first-ever event on Saturday, October 26th. WGNS was told that the group will have 14 extremely talented Plein Air Painters literally paint the town of Bell Buckle! The Bell Buckle Arts Council also told us that many of the artist are from the Murfreesboro area.

The event on the 26th falls on the heels of the Webb School craft show (Oct. 19). The show will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The 14 professional artists will leave their studios and set up their easels at the historic Railroad Square in downtown Bell Buckle.

Listeners are encouraged to bring their families out to enjoy this rare opportunity to interact with the artists and experience an up-close view of the spontaneous and exciting art form of en Plein Air (French for ‘in the open air’). Watching a painting develop under the capable hands of these artists is a fascinating experience-- they work as quickly as possible to capture an outdoor scene on canvas, competing with the changing light of the sun and movement of the clouds.

The event will also include displays of each artist’s work for sale.
