The 23rd Annual Art Studio Tour was a huge success this past Saturday and Sunday as patrons purchased gifts at 10 area studios

The annual event was a great opportunity to meet local artists and tour the studios. Most of these local artists have national and world acclaim. Plus, it was a great opportunity to purchase gifts for that special person on your list.

Once a year our local craft artists of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County open their studios to the public, offering a unique and wide selection of artwork and demonstrations.

Whether you are a long time collector or new to appreciating fine craft, you will find some of the Stones River area's finest forged iron, pottery, stained glass, weaving, wood work, fine jewelry and functional home accessories.

Established in 1993, the Annual Art Studio Tour has given visitors a glimpse into the working studios of the local artisans and craftsmen. Mastering various elements, the artists produce one-of-a-kind treasures for you to bring home.

Each year, the talent grows and develops, just like the city we live in. We invite you to visit the studios to see how and where their artwork is designed and made.

If you didn't make it on the Art Studio Tour this past weekend, be sure to place it on your calendar for 2017.
