The annual 2017 Murfreesboro City School Foundation's Back to School Dash at Overall Creek Elementary School, at 429 Otter Trail--off Veterans Parkway, is only one week away. This 5k/10k run will be at 7:00 o'clock next Saturday morning (9/16/2017).
This race raises funds for The City Schools Foundation, which benefits Murfreesboro City Schools' 8,800 plus pre-K through 6th grade students. The group was chartered in 2005 and aims to boost the school system's financial support in the areas of science and math, academic competition and excellence among students, and to address financial parity in all schools.
Communications Assistant Tori England said, "Hopefully, all of you will promote this on your social media. This is a USATF Certified Course and race packets will be available for pickup late this coming week as well as the morning of the race."
