Rutherford County Fire-Rescue Chief Larry Farley has re-issued the ban on open burning in Rutherford County. Due to the extremely dry conditions, Farley said, "We must stop all open burning in Rutherford County."

Farley told WGNS that this past weekend came with several acres burning and in some cases there were structures endangered. We were told that this ban will not be lifted until we have several inches of rain.
