Bats, Vultures, Armadillos--Oh No!

Some unique creatures are seen in these parts, and for the next five Saturdays--Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department will feature morning talks at the Wilderness Station about bats, vultures, armadillos--oh no!

Sometimes conflict is just a misunderstanding. The Wilderness Station's Rachel Singer told NewsRadio WGNS that this FREE series will uncover the true identity of some of our most misunderstood creatures.

Each Saturday morning in March and the first weekend in April, presentations by professors, naturalists, and other professionals will examine behavior, threats, and wildlife-human conflict resolution.

This program is free and for adults. Saturdays starting at 9 a.m. at the Wilderness Station. Topics are as follows:

  • March 4 - Bats
  • March 11 - Armadillos
  • March 18 - Vultures
  • March 25 - Rattlesnakes
  • April 1 - Opossums
