State Senator Bill Ketron is County Mayor-Elect after receiving 62-percent of the vote. He recalls running in the 90's for County Executive, a race he didn't win:

Ketron turned back a challenge from independent candidate Heather Ann Brown. He will be sworn-in as County Mayor on Thursday, August 30th at 6:30pm at the Rutherford County Courthouse. Ketron has extended an invitation to other county elected officials to be sworn in that same night.
