Central Magnet School Principal John Ash has been selected as the Middle School Principal of the Year representing Tennessee for the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Each year state chapters of NASSP select a state-level principal of the year for middle schools and high schools. Those representatives are then contenders for NASSP's National Principal of the Year award. Ash was honored at a ceremony on Sept. 10 in Washington D.C.
