Central Magnet's 1953 Pontiac Again In Great Race

For their second consecutive year, a group of students from Central Magnet School will be driving their 1953 Pontiac Chieftan in the Great Race.

Stones River Region Antique Automobile Club of America President Jeremy Bird told NewsRadio WGNS that the Central students are making final adjustments now . . .

The 2018 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty will start in Buffalo, New York at the Pierce Arrow Museum. It will start Saturday, June 23, 2018, and finish in Nova Scotia, Canada, on Sunday, July 1, 2018. The Great Race, the world's premiere old car rally, will bring 120 of the world's finest antique automobiles to Buffalo for the $150,000 event.

As you recall, Central Magnet School drove their 1953 green Pontiac Chieftan the 2017 Great Race which began in Jacksonville, Florida to Traverse City, Michigan.
