The Tennessee Democratic Party has made it known publicly that they have distaste in the United States Presidency as opposed to suggesting that both parties should work together for the common good of all people.

A press release sent to Tennessee Media on Friday stated, "We should also take time today to remember, as we continue to witness just how threatening and dangerous a Trump presidency is to our liberty and our humanity, that the Founding Fathers also gave us the responsibility to hold President Trump and his associates accountable and the power to stop their alarming agenda."

Mary Mancini, chair of the Tennessee Democratic Party released the following statement on the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States.

"As Americans, we should take time today to celebrate our Founding Fathers and the system they set up that has enabled the peaceful transition of power for centuries.

We should also take time today to remember, as we continue to witness just how threatening and dangerous a Trump presidency is to our liberty and our humanity, that the Founding Fathers also gave us the responsibility to hold President Trump and his associates accountable and the power to stop their alarming agenda.

Whether Trump uses his position as President to halt the F.B.I. investigation into the possible links between his campaign associates and Russian officials, or whether he continues to place the interests of his business empire over his oath and commitment to serve the best interests of the American people, we must use our power to speak out, resist, and persevere."
