Three men associated with Rutherford County Schools during the past eight years say goodbye.  School Board members Mark Byrnes, Donald Jernigan and Grant Kelly will completed terms last Friday. Byrnes and Jernigan did not seek re-election. Kelly lost to Coy Young last month in the race for the Zone 2 School Board seat. During the terms of these members, Central Magnet was created, seven new schools were opened and additions to 12 existing schools completed. The board also secured the funding for Stewarts Creek High School, which is set to open next August. Three new School Board members — Helen Blankenship, David Nipper and Coy Young, who were elected in August, will be sworn-in this week.
