As police continued to ask questions, it was confirmed through Edwards that the tow truck was called to pull his mother's vehicle out of a nearby ditch. A witness told police that they saw Edwards back his mothers car out of a parking space and then into a ditch. The tow truck driver then told police that an assault took place, but he did not want to pursue charges.

Police say that Edwards admitted to drinking. Officer Carroll then confirmed that Edwards had a revoked license. As a result of the incident, Edwards was charged with DUI #4, Driving on a Revoked License and Public Intoxication.

Edwards was booked into the local jail under a $14,000 bond. As of Wednesday afternoon (4/13/16), he remains behind bars and is due in court on June 7, 2016.
