City Council Approves $2.7 Million Plan

October's first meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council was one filled with talks about ways to improve the city. All council members were in favor during Thursday's meeting to approve the plan to renovate Sports*Com. The result of this plan is a $2.7 million dollars worth of improvements, including a 3,000 square foot expansion to the existing Sports*Com building.

The plan includes a new fitness area, along with a new roof and HVAC system. Updates to the locker rooms, restrooms, and improved lighting are also part of the plan. Additionally, a new water line will be installed in order to meet fire safety codes. Baron Construction, LLC is the company that will be completing the renovations.
