City Manager Roger Haley, Official Evaluation Report

October 14, 2008

The Murfreesboro City Council released information on their overall review of City Manager Roger Haley Tuesday. Although the marks were high in nearly every category, Haley told us he doesn’t talk to local media.

While Haley may be shy of the mic and talking to local residents through local media, Mayor Tommy Bragg was quick to voice his opinion. Mayor Bragg says the he appreciates the hard work of the Murfreesboro City Manager over the years.

On the official evaluation, Council member Ron Washington and Vice Mayor Chris Bratcher noted that Haley failed to meet their expectations of community involvement.

And to kill anything that has been generated from the rumor mill about Haley’s retirement… Mr. Haley did not suggest a future date. The council did however ask that he give them at least a 12-months notice of retirement.
