The City of La Vergne is hosting a September 11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, September 11. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the gazebo by City Hall, 5093 Murfreesboro Road.

Police Chief Mike Walker said, "On September 11, 2001, the lives of every American changed. That day became a day of infamy, a day no one will forget. And we do not want to forget. We choose to honor the innocent heroes who gave their lives that day as civilians, police officers, fire fighters, and paramedics, as well as those in the military who have responded and are responding even now to the violence our nation faced that day."
