City Schools Foundation Back to School 5K/10K

The City Schools Foundation will kick off the 2016-17 school year with a 5K/10K run on September 17, 2016. The run will begin at Overall Creek Elementary and follow a relatively flat terrain on Veteran's Parkway.

Registration for the 5K and 10K is $30 by August 31, add $5 if registering in September and race day registration is $40.

The race begins and finishes at Overall Creek Elementary School. The course is a USATF Certified Course and registration includes a timing chip, race bib and t-shirt. Race participants will run from Overall Creek to the predominantly flat Veterans Parkway and back. Racers will face an uphill grade on parts of the course. For safety reasons no wheeled devices, including strollers, or pets are allowed on the course.

Awards will be given for first place male and female winners based on age division and to the overall men's and women's winner. Awards will be based on the standard USATF shotgun start. Age division categories range from elementary through 66 plus.

Packet pickup and pre-registration will be available September 16, from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at City Tile and Flooring near downtown Murfreesboro.
