Perfect Night for Taste of Rutherford
July 25, 2009
Saturday evening (7/25/09) brought another evening of low humidity and pleasant temperatures. It was perfect for the Annual Taste of Rutherford, the casual dinner and dance to benefit the Main Street Renovation Program. Large tents were set-up in the rear of Ronnie Barrett’s home. A patron’s party began at 6:00 o’clock with exquisite hors d’oeuvres prepared by Mike and Debbie Zelenak at the Maple Street Grill. Then the guests walked into the beautifully landscaped rear lawn for dinner prepared by the area’s culinary experts.
More than twenty-five of Rutherford Counties finest eateries tried to outdo each other with their most delicious cuisine. Everything from caviar, Cajun goodies, hot wings, barbecue—just to name just a few. Then a sinfully long list of desserts and sweets. A live band kept the tempo going, and it was hard to keep your feet still.
Between events like this and the Friday Night Live on the Murfreesboro square, Main Street is getting a well-deserved reputation for being a great party group.

This was the best Taste of Rutherford ever. The food was fantastic, and the weather was even better. And that band–it was difficult not to dance on the table.
