Three members of a construction crew claim they were threatened with a baseball bat by two residents of the Chariot Pointe Apartments on East Northfield. Forty-four year old Matthew McClaran of Mt. Juliet and 43-year old Kristina Wilson face three counts of aggravated assault after Murfreesboro Police were called Sunday afternoon around 1:30.

The manager of the construction company told Officer Jeffery Pulford, McClaran threatened his crew with a baseball bat and he and Wilson both argued with them. McClaren did admit to the officer to picking up the baseball bat after initially denying it, according to the report.

Not only did the workers make a statement, but a witness corroborated the story and they all added that both McClaran and Wilson were intoxicated. They all went on to report that earlier in the week, the two allegedly tried to run over them with their car.

As for McClaran and Wilson, they claimed the workers were intentionally pounding on the walls, trying to annoy them. However, Officer Pulford states the witness statement, the use of a weapon and the fact there had allegedly been prior altercations, led to their arrested. Both face a 15-thousand dollar bond and will be in General Sessions Court on February 23rd.
