Couchville Pike Home Fire

Rutherford County Fire and Rescue crews are among the various emergency responders on the scene of a structure fire at 8038 Couchville Pike.

The fire was out by 7:40am and we've learned the family who lives in the home all made it out safely. The fire started around 4:45am.

Upon arrival crews found flames coming from the back of a two story home. The fire quickly involved the entire home and as Scene Commander, Chief Larry Farley, called upon assistance from Almaville VFD, Lascassas VFD, Kittrell VFD , Christiana VFD as well as Lavergne FD and Wilson County.

With a large propane tank and sheds near the home, WEMA also responded and Middle Tennessee Electric was called out as well.

Chief Farley contacted the Board of Education to notify them that any school buses in the area would need to re-route.

Couchville Pike was closed to all traffic as the fire was managed and eventually suppressed.

A Fire Investigator from RCFR was also called to the scene, and will be investigating the cause of the blaze.
