Some potential good news for Murfreesboro and Rutherford County residents… The Murfreesboro City Council gave City Manager Rob Lyons the green light on pursuing a FastTrack grant to cover the infrastructure cost for an unnamed company. At the same time, the Industrial Development Board is in the midst of negotiations with an unnamed company to offer them a 20-year tax break in exchange for creating 1,100 new jobs. Again, the name of the company or companies involved with negotiations with Murfreesboro has not been named.
