For the next week, the free classes at the Farmers Market are: Cover Crops and Green Manures and Cooking with Kids.

The market takes place at the Lane Agri-Park every Tuesday and Friday from 7AM to Noon.

Extension agent Janie Becker will be speaking about the value of cover crops in gardening at the free class on Tuesday June 14th. The class entitled "Cover Crops and Green Manures" starts at 9 a.m. at the Community Center on the Lane Agri-Park campus. Participants will learn how adopting the philosophy of "no bare soil" can revive soils.

Sign ups on Friday, June 17 are required for that morning's program, "Cooking with Kids" presented by extension agent Tiffany Schmidt. The class will introduce young ones to the joys of cooking and creating healthy snacks. The class will start at 9 a.m. at the Community Center on the Lane Agri-Park campus.
