Blackman High School and their starting quarterback were the Week 2 winners of the DIRECTV by EnterSource / NewsRadio WGNS Game of the Week and MVP of the Week Awards.
Andy DeGraw, Vice President of DIRECTV by EnterSource, presented a plaque to Blackman football coach David Watson, whose team beat McCallie last week 44-42.
The MVP of the Week is quarterback Miller Armstrong. He accounted for more than half of the Blaze total offense, racking up 200-yards on 7-of-10 passing and added 72-yards rushing on 13-carries. He also orchestrated the game winning drive with 51-seconds to go in the game, that set up the Thomas Burk field goal that lifted Blackman to a 44-42 win.
