We have more on an alleged case of neglect of a disabled woman in Murfreesboro.
District Attorney General Jennings Jones tells NewsRadio WGNS 47-year old Gary Wayne Marple has been charged with abuse and/or neglect resulting in the death of 40-year old Shannon Cooper.
He says Murfreesboro Police were called to Cooper's Poplar Avenue home July 18th after her family became concerned for her welfare:
Cooper was a paraplegic who also had leukemia and was bed-ridden. She was taken to the hospital after the initial check by police. She died seven-days later.
Judge Lisa Eischeid ruled there was sufficient proof to send the case to the grand jury. Marple is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
