Perhaps you have information that could help authorities in nearby Coffee County, Tennessee?

In the early hours of Monday, July 15th, Coffee County Sheriff’s Deputies found a body at the intersection of General Marcom Road and Highway 41. A preliminary investigation revealed the deceased victim’s vehicle was located approximately 1.5 miles north of the victim’s location which leads investigators to believe that the victim had an accident and was walking to possibly obtain assistance.

The victim, Samuel Shetters, age 48, of Pelham, Tennessee appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves said that it could have been an accident in which the driver was unaware that a person had been struck. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol is working this investigation and are asking anyone who might have been traveling in the area of Hillsboro during this time to please call 615-728-3591 with any information.
