Domestic Violence / Sexual Assault Counseling Continues for those in need

The Domestic Violence Program & Sexual Assault Services office in Murfreesboro offers free counseling and a support group for those who have been affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

The group is ideal for those who would like to meet others in similar circumstances while learning life affirming coping skills.

Reports from the local office indicate this is a structured group that is conducted by a counselor and runs approximately 8 weeks on Thursdays.

This group covers, but isn't limited to, the following topics:

  • Domestic Violence
  • Safe Coping Skills
  • Grounding (detaching from emotional pain)
  • Warning Signs/Red Flags
  • Setting Boundaries in Relationships
  • Coping with Triggers
  • Self-care
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Dealing with Anger towards Abuser
  • Grief/Loss

This is an open group so you can participate as little or as much as you want.
