Drive by shooting at a Murfreesboro home

A grey Jeep Cherokee allegedly drove past a house on Sycamore Circle in Murfreesboro and opened fire. Several shots hit the front door of the home, while several more hit a parked car.

The incident was reported on Monday night around 8:00 (1/9/17).

Murfreesboro Police responded to the scene and were told by the resident that the Jeep was being driven by a white female. In the car with the female were two white male passengers.

Officers were able to collect a total of six .40 caliber shell casings from the front of the home.

The 61 year old victim in the case works for the Nashville Metro School system. It is not known if the shooter had ties to the victim from school. No one was injured.

The case is under investigation, but an arrest has not been made.
