Driver in Manchester Highway Fatal Crash Identified

We now know the identify of the driver killed in a fatal early morning crash at 2525 Manchester Highway, near Irby Lane.

Murfreesboro Police spokesman Sgt. Kyle Evans tells NewsRadio WGNS the single vehicle involved was driven by 18-year old Adam Wayne Love of Murfreesboro. He says the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and struck a wooden fence around 3:15 Monday morning.

Evans says several of the wooden boards penetrated the windshield and struck Love, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Love died just 19-days before his 19th birthday. The case is under investigation by the FACT Team.

One person has died in an early-morning crash in Murfreesboro. The wreck happened around 3 a.m. Monday at 2525 Manchester Pike near Irby Lane.

Details of the crash were unknown. Officials said only one vehicle was involved in the incident. The victim's name was not known.

Police had to shut down the roadway for several hours while they investigated the crash.
