Early Sunday Morning Fatal Crash On Short Dead-end Street
October 25, 2009
An early Sunday morning one car crash where Deerwood Avenue dead-ends has taken one life and a passenger in the vehicle was taken by Life Flight helicopter to the Vanderbilt Trauma Center. The car was evidently traveling at a high rate of speed on the short road off East Northfield Boulevard near Pitts Lane. First responders reported that the vehicle slammed into trees at the end of the roadway and rolled onto its top. The impact was so great that the engine was found 100-feet a way in a resident’s yard. A spokesperson at the Murfreesboro Police Department told WGNS that the call came in at 4:53 Sunday morning.
Paramedics from the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services pronounced one person deceased at the scene. The second victim taken by helicopter to Nashville had serious injuries. And a third was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center with minor injuries. One of the persons is age 17, and at this time WGNS News does not have information about the other two who were injured. As soon as more information is available, you’ll read it on this website and hear it on WGNS (FM 100.5; FM 101.9; AM 1450; over-the-air TV channel 11 and worldwide at www.WGNSradio.com).

Where the Parents to these Kids.??? They need invesgate the parents of why the would allow their children to be out that late//// I know it can be hard for any parent to keep up with every move a child makes ( cause ) they will tell u oh i am going over to a friends home when really they are out joy ridin, Mom // Dad// keep up with ur children ,, for it is ur job to protect and know where ur children is at at all times.untill the day they get grown and move out, and still them u call up and check on them each day, My Prayers goes out to the family who lost their child in this awful wreck/ And to the Parents of the children who r in the hospital My Prayers r with u also . No matter how old our children get they will always be a child in the mothers eye/
Sad, so very sad about the kids. My prayers go up for them, their parents, AND for “Where was the Parents”. (the marginally literate who has joined the forces who are trying to destroy our country by first attacking our language.)
two where young adults. 20 and 22. cant disagree on the younger aged one.
please dont judge the familys. i knew the one who died very well & his parents really cared about him but you cant keep your children locked in a room. you have to give them the freedom to make their own decisions. its a shame he had to go that way and i cant believe some of the things people who didnt even know him are saying. he really was a good kid.
123abc,
Congratulations, you seem to have mastered spelling, now lets try to learn the rules of capitalization and punctuation.
