A local resident has been accused of creating a fake company and then defrauding his employer by well over $100,000, according to a police incident report filed in Murfreesboro. The subject, who has not been apprehended, allegedly gathered clients and convinced them to do business with his fictitious company. The reported scam evidently worked.

The so called “false company,” according to the report we gathered from the police department, showed that they registered with the Secretary of State in 2012. Those records show the company address is in Christiana, Tennessee.
